Reporting

Selection Master creates data lists that could be helpful for analysis in many different ways. In order to facilitate the use of this data, Selection Master allows exporting of data to comma separated value files (.csv) for use in spreadsheet and database programs.

With the exception of 'Export Preview' on the preview pane of the UI, all reports are accessed via the 'Reporting' drop down menu on the Selection Master Panel.

Selection Master allows exporting of five types of reports. All reports are shown on their own tab of the report dialog and can be exported to .csv or .txt using the button. The available types of reports are:

• Export Preview - This option is located on the selection palette. For more information see the preview pane help section.
• Views by Level - This tab shows a dialog listing all plan and ceiling plan views in the file and allowing the user to filter by level.
  
• Levels - This tab shows a dialog listing every level currently in the project along with it's element ID and height value.
  • Height values are exported both in value string format (i.e. 12'-3") and decimal values that can be used for calculation (i.e. 12.25); imperial projects export levels in decimal feet and metric projects export millimeters.
• Grids - This tab shows a dialog listing every grid currently in the project along with its element ID, type name, and scope box (if any).
• Families - This tab shows a dialog listing every family currently in the project along with it's element ID.
• Phases - This tab shows a dialog listing every phase currently in the project along with it's element ID.
