Printing

Print Modes

Printing Keynote Files is Supported in Three Modes Described as Follows:

  • All Visible Keynotes: This option is the default (it has a keyboard shortcut) and it will print only the keynotes that are visible in the tree view in it's current state. So if no keynotes have been expanded, it will only print the top level keynotes. If one
keynote has been expanded it will print the top level keynotes and the sub-notes of the expanded note, etc.
  • All Keynotes: This option prints all keynotes in the file in their expanded form (stacking below their parent keynote) regardless of the current state of the tree view.
  • Selected Branch: This option take the currently selected keynote and prints it and all it's sub-notes in expanded form and ignores all other keynotes.
Header and Footer

The print function also prints a header and a footer on each page of the final printout. The footer includes the page number and a revolution design credit; the header includes several pieces of information about the print:

  • File Path - This is the path to the text file that was printed.
  • Print Mode - This tells the user if only visible notes were printed, all notes, or just a selected branch. This field will also tell the user how many notes were printed and how many were in the file total.
  • Date - The date and time that the print was made.
Font & Format

The font used for all portions of the print will be the font defined in the settings dialog. The color of the main text will also match the settings dialog. The header and footer, however, will always print with the same font and colors.

Key value shading as defined in the settings is respected by printing. If you define key level shading in settings the same shading will be used for prints.
